Le Retour de Murat à Montigny !

Le château de Montigny-le-Gannelon (dept 28) accueillait près de 275 reconstituteurs pour le ''Retour de Murat'' le week-end des 28 et 29 mai 2022.

Au sein d'un site historique et prestigieux, on retrouve une zone de démonstration dédiée aux manoeuvres de l'infanterie et de la cavalerie, aux tirs au canon, une zone de bivouac des troupes et de l'Etat-major, ...

Né en 1767, Joachim Murat est le beau-frère de Napoléon 1er par son mariage avec Caroline Bonaparte ; il est nommé Maréchal d'Empire en 1804 puis Roi de Naples en 1808 jusqu'à sa chute en 1815. Il est reconnu comme étant l'un des meilleurs cavaliers et meneurs d'hommes de la Grande Armée.

Born in 1767, Joachim Murat was Napoleon I's brother-in-law through his marriage to Caroline Bonaparte; he was appointed Marshal of the Empire in 1804 then King of Naples in 1808 until his fall in 1815. He is recognized as being one of the best riders and leaders of men in the Grande Armée.
